Manage your Medications

Plenty of possibilities to overdosing of your medicine, the interaction or reaction. To avoid the possibility of overdose, take a look at the American Heart Association suggested some tips to manage medications:

  1. Store medications in a cool, dry place.


  2. Know which medications, including over-the-counter drugs, that shouldn't be taken at the same time.


  3. Always take medications the way your doctor tells you to, and for as long as he or she prescribes.



  4. Remind yourself to refill your prescriptions before you run out.


  5. To better track your medications, get them all filled at one pharmacy.


  6. Build a relationship with a pharmacist, and try to always consult with the same one. Don't be afraid to ask questions.


  7. Tell each of your doctors about your medication you take, including over-the-counter and herbal remedies.


  8. Don't suffer through side effects. Speak with your doctor about potential ways to prevent them.


  9. Don't split or crush any medication unless your pharmacist says its OK., It can affect the way your medication work.
