What is pneumonia? What Causes pneumonia?What are the sympthoms of pneumonia?

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that causes bacteria, viruses and fungi. Pneumonia is usually developed to a person of less than 1 year old and older than 65 years old. According to research, there are more than 3 million people have pneumonia and only half on them were treated and admitted in the hospital and 5 percent of them will die of pneumonia.

Pneumonia is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.


How pneumonia developed and what are the causes of Pneumonia?


The most common causes of pneumonia are bacteria and viruses.

Who are the people who have high risks in getting pneumonia?


Pneumonia is developed when a person:
1.    smoke
2.    Abuse alcohol
3.    with the age younger that 1 year old and older that 65 years old
4.    malnourished
5.    weak and impaired immune system
6.    Have other medical conditions such as asthma, HIV/AIDS and etc.
7.    To those who have just recovered from colds and flu
8.    Exposed to chemical and pollution

Symptoms of pneumonia caused by bacteria come quickly that of caused by viruses.
1.    Cough
2.    Rusty or Green mucus(sputum) coughed up from lungs
3.    fever
4.    shaking chills
5.    fast heartbeat
6.    fatigue and feeling weak
7.    nausea and vomiting
8.    sweating
9.    Diarrhea
10.    muscle pain
