Dysmenorrhea – Causes, symptoms and treatment

Dysmenorrhea – is a medical condition or pain “uterus cramps” usually occur before of on the day of menstruation.

There are two types of Dysmenorrhea:
1.    Primary dysmenorrhea
2.    secondary dysmenorrhea
Primary dysmenorrhea – rigorous uterus pains.
    Symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea:
1.    backache
2.    leg pain
3.    nausea
4.    vomiting
5.    diarrhea
6.    headache
7.    dizziness
8.    fatigue
9.    disorientation
10.    fainting
Secondary Dysmenorrhea – is a medical condition in which associated with the existing medical condtion.
    The most common causes of this secondary dysmenorrhea is endometriosis (the abnormalities in the lining
of the uterus). Other causes may include
1.    leiomyoma, adenomyosis ovarian cysts, and pelvic congestions.


Treatments of Dysmenorrhea:

Treatments of the Primary Dysmenorrhea– Causes, symptoms and treatment
drugs will restrain prostaglandins, minimize the contractions of the uterus and decrease the menstrual flow.


Treatments of the secondary dysmenorrhea depend on the cause.  Endometriosis – the most common cause of secondary dysmenorrhea. Adenomeosis – is also the other cause of Dysmenorrhea.
